I purchased a house in late 2006, and haven't yet made enough interest payments to justify itemizing deductions instead of taking a standard deduction. I've already waited to pay property taxes until this first month of 2007, so i can claim two tax pmts this year, but can i do the same with mortgage interest? I'd like to add the interest paid last year to this year's interest if possible.

My best friend has alot of debt. She just used one of those consolidation places, using a number off the tv, to have one monthly payment and they reduced her total debt. Is this a good decision?

I have some debt and I want to do this but I am afraid my credit will be worse. My credit is already bad for past due accounts in collection status. No I wasn't a deadbeat..I has surgery and couldn't pay my bills and them the minimum balances kept snowballing. Some of my friends say it makes your credit worse but I think paying it off would be better than not paying it. Anyone have a real answer on this? Thanks.

So I had an interview today and I'm not really sure how it went,I think okay. The normal thing is to want the "American Dream", however, I'm 27, single, no children and I have no plans on getting married, but besides that, I have no real desire to own my own home, it just seems like a lot of hassel, I find it much more convienent to rent. I am currently a full time student in an evening paralegal program. I wanted to intern at a law firm to gain more on the job experience.I started networking with different law firms going and introducing myself personally. One attorney told me that it would be good if I can have a "networking" card just like business card mentioning that I am currently a student and seek experience in a law firm.
Can anyone help me with the wordings? I would also like to know what kind of resume can I use to go with the card, I have not much of an experience in any one field, I was a teacher for 9 months, I was a product demonstrator for 8 months and so on. Thank you all

I have been laidoff on may 2004. Became very seriously ill ended up in the trauma center. Now I have clearance from the doctor to start looking for job and work. I do I explain this to the explain to the companies I will be interviewing with and what can I put on my resume? I need help on this, so please help me what to do. It was my first job out of college, so when something didn't feel right, I thought it was just me, however, I have recently found out that this company not only scams their employees out of their paychecks, but they scam customers. They're called Cambridge/ Empire/ and Manchester Who's Who, and they change their name and location often. When I worked there, they were based in a nice office building in Uniondale, (Long Island) NY. I recently heard the people in management positions don't even use their real names. The business claims to be a well-known and respected networking tool for business professionals. They have already been reported to the Better Business Bureau, and the complaints are staggering. i have a slight work dilema... i guess my bf's mom's 50th bday party is the weekend of the 27th.. i thought i'd be able to work that weekend.. until i found out thats when her party is.. (she lives four hours away.. so it makes it hard to do both).. my manager usually takes the weekend work as he can bank his hours.... My co-worker is not really up to doing more then he has to..and i'm not sure if he will work that weekend.. as he has to check with his wife to see if they are up to anything that weekend.. anyways.. so that leaves me possibly staying home to work that weekend.. to get to the party my bf will have to take our car.. leaving me with no transportation in which to get to work..

so. can i ask my work to either pay for my cab.. or pay me for the time to take the bus (which will probably take an hour each way as our bus system sucks **** )

i can't really see myself asking that.. as i'm not that type of girl/worker to complain or ask for extra.. but yah what is a girl to do?

I am looking to live in a 4 bedroom 4 bath apartment outside of texas a&m university because I will be attending school there. The housing website says the rent per month is $575...but is it $575 combined rent or $575 per person livin there>?
