I have co-workers that I'm friendly with (lunches, shopping, phone calls), but I still keep them at a distance, because if a female friendship goes bad on the job, watch out.

Three co-workers are making some poor choices, but I'd rather just mind my own business than try and offer up advice (it's been requested), because I don't like my name coming up in work drama and people tend to kill the messenger.

Do you agree? Am I right to want to just be friendly, but not get into the middle of the work drama of others? We're all adults and professionals so we should know by now (ages = 30s-40s) what to do and not to do in the work place.

Regarding the friend selling the house, where she is on the mortgage but we both are on the deed, she is the realtor so if she already has the contract written, do I have any recourse in contacting the broker or anyone else? I haven't signed any forms. Also she has changed the locks and is not allowing me on the property - any recourse there?

I have 2 small children with my husband. He won't let me work full time even though I have more qualifications than him. He hates his job, in a factory, he works nights and he hardy sees me or my kids. When I do see him he is always miserable because of work, it's understandable, I wouldn't wanna work nights in a factory. I have said loads of time that I would get a job and he could work part time. At the moment I work in a supermarket, I enjoy it but I would like a more challenging job really. I would be able to earn more money than him, I have already found a job that is £15,000 a year staring salary, and I know somebody who would put in a good word for me there. He won't even look for a different type of job, he won't work anywhere other than a factory. I understand if his pride was hurt if I was the bread winner, he's so old fashioned! it really gets me down sometimes, knowing we could have a better life, but he will always treat me as the dumb house wife, who needs a man!

The company is being sold for 20+ million dollars. She doesn't have a good relationship with the family at this moment. How does she stake her claim to her 4%? She's worried about getting cheated out of what she worked very hard for many years ago. Hiring a lawyer isn't feasible due to her finanacial condition.

Hi...I am a new investor and willing to try my luck with my 15K savings. Here's how I am planning to invest:
$4000 in a Roth IRA with Vanguard Star Fund.
$3000 in T Rowe Price 2040 Retirement fund.
$3000 in Fidelity Balanced Mutual fund.
$2500 in Vanguard 500 Index Mutual Fund
$2500 in HSBC online Savings with 5.05% APY (Emergency Fund)

I plan to add atleast a couple of hundred bucks to each fund every month so that I know my savings are diversified.

How does this look? I am not a risk taker nor have the time to research stocks or buy real estate(my company provides me housing plus utilities). Some have suggested ETF's but since I will be investing small chunks every month the fees will eat up my gains.

Any advice is appreciated. Again I am new to this, so I may seem novice.
