In the year of bankruptcy, you file a pre and post bankruptcy return. The trustee indicates at the time the bankruptcy is filed if they have an interest in the "post" bankruptcy return or not. They file those returns for you.

RE I filed bankruptcy in april 2005 can i still receiving my taxes if not how will th bankruptcy trustee know?

Have you already had the final hearing ?
Was the case settled or is it still pending ?
If your case is settled / closed they will have no other issue or care about your taxes now.
If your case is still pending, it might be an issue . . .
ask the trustee because the big computer finds out most things !
