Nigeria is a war-torn third world country. Where are they going to have a central bank? And why would they be contacting you? SCAM!

99.99% of the things you get in your email related to Nigeria are some type of scam. DO NOT believe them no matter how legitimate they seem. When I get those emails I like to type the name on the email + scam and see what pops up. Most of the time I see practically the same letter I received. Another thing- the email address it is from is never from a real bank- you can look those up too. I frequently play with them and start up a conversation just waiting for them to ask for money and refuse to give it to them. They will try and scare you and intimidate you into sending them moeny with threats about imprisonment and etc., but it is all done in an attempt to get you to send them money to help process some paperwork...

There are a lot of these 'SCAMS' on the Internet. Most are from African countries, but others write from supposedly England or Russia. Don't ever fall for them. Don't reply or give any personal data. These scammers will claim to give you a percentage of their investments or wills if you process the investment for them. What then happens is that you will be given the info only if you send them a deposit of good faith. Yeah,,right.. good faith!-it goes into their pockets and you'll never see your money again. Didn't your mother ever tell if something seems too good to be true, it probably is?

Yes. Many Nigerians email Americans trying to get them wire them money in hopes for getting a small fortune in return. I have been emailed before! It is sad because many people have been taken advantage of. Do not fall for this.

Sure, they send out all those wacky emails hoping to get your banking information. Report as Spam and forget it. Don't open those emails if you get them.
