I am looking for a new job. Hopefully day shifts to replace my night waitressing. I have applied for about 8 jobs in the last month, with no positive results. I am a smart woman and learn quickly, however most of my work experience is in the food industry. How can I at least get a call back. I am looking mostly for administrative work.

I watch Jim Cramer a lot and he advertises his Action Alerts Plus subscription during his show.

Is it worth subscribing to? Is he even beating the SP500?

I'm 24 and have finally settled into my job and gotten my apartment bills paid up to date and have the ability to open one up. My company offers contributions to 401K accounts, but I'm not eligible until April 2008. I am not sure I plan on still being with this company at that time.

Therefore, I'm not sure which is my best investment option. I'm not able to put much in now as I'm paying off my damn student loans as well. I plan on having $75 from my biweekly paycheck deducted and put in my account.

I've heard Roth IRA's are slightly riskier and therefore offer higher rewards, so I may be inclined to go that route. However, I also want something safe, steady and more appropriate for my investment knowledge (which is quite light).

Also, does it matter which company I choose to invest with? Is there any difference in interest rates, etc between Ameriprise, Fidelity, Vanguard, etc. If so, which companies will benefit me most to choose??

THANK YOU! HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Thanks in advance.

I'm looking for responses ONLY from people who live in RVs full-time for this question...and not looking for any "why would you want to do that?" kind of responses.

I am currently paying about $700 a month for an apartment (not including utility costs).
I am thinking about buying an RV and moving into a $350/mo park (within 2 miles of where I live) would save me money (IE salvage value of the RV (evem including depreciation), lower rent, less utility bills etc.)
By my calculations, It appears the overall costs, over 2+ years, of rent vs. owning an RV strongly favor RV living (it almost cuts expenses in half when salvage value is factored in).

But I haven't owned an RV and I want to know, from someone who does, what are the hidden expenses (repairs, inspections, park policies, etc.) and how much extra will such things cost me over, say, 5 years? What experiences have you all had with such issues?

At my work, I have been told that they are bringing in a more experienced person in purchasing for me to report to. The company is in the middle of expansion, and I am supposed to get more training on planning, but have not received it yet, so that I can do planning and be an assistant to the Purchasing Manager. At first, I was supposed to do planning and purchasing, but now according to them, it has gotten over my head or will soon with the current expansion, and I can't do it all by myself. At my last job, the same thing happened. A more experienced person came in and basically took my job from underneath me. The only difference was that they were losing business and my company now is gaining business. So now I'm wondering, does anyone think there a great threat to my job in the current situation I'm in with a new person coming into Purchasing that will be my boss? Or, is there no reason for me to be worried even though I have been in a similar situation?

credit cards in three different names...some of them in her three former married names and one in her single name before marriage? This woman floats credit and is maxed out. Her last house was forclosed on for nonpayment of 10 months, and then it was dropped and she went out and bought a brand new house and re-furnished the whole house on credit. Can people do this....legally. Now they are buying stocks and lottery tickets. What do you make of this????

I am mailing a dress to someone in Singapore, and I have the full address, but it just doesn't look right because I am used to mailing things in the US (because we have the city and state and zip code)
The address is set up like this:

Jane Doe
123 Fake Street
Singapore, 288990

The only thing that concerns me is the last line. Is it supposed to have only those two parts to it? Should I write Singapore again under that last line? (Someone told me that you should if it's being sent to another country)
