it's never too late! learning has become a life-long process, and retraining at 29 is no problem. So just do what feels right!

Certainly not. Contact your local authority and they will give you a list of local colleges offering training. Courses for a fully qualified therapist last up to three years. But after one year you should have sufficient knowledge to enable you to obtain work in a beauty salon carrying out those treatments for which you are qualified. You then learn on the job.
Alternatively, you may pay to go on a concentrated training course whch would give you in a few months sufficient qlalifications to obtain work in a salon.
Suggest you contact the Guild of Beauty Therapists and other bodies which you will find on the internet.

Absolutely not - if it's something you want to do, do it. You've probably got a higher chance of doing well, because you won't have the same distractions you would have at 16 and people are generally calmer mentally and thus better able to study as you get older.
Go for it!

no your never too old to learn anything. i started off as an apprentice mechanic at 16. i never got to finish my second years apprenticeship. if somebody offerd me the chance to finish the rest of my apprenticeship at the age of 35 for apprentice wages i'd pack my job in now and do it. if its a trade or a skill you'll have it for life and you can pay your own wages.
