I have a profit sharing and 401K account with a company that I left a year ago. Not sure what to do with the accounts, people tell me to open a IRA. I think I can also just leave the accounts open with the company. Any suggestions. Also not sure where to go to open a IRA or what type. THanks

I have a Rollover IRA from a previous employer's 401k plan. Can I add money to this and wha is the tax implication? Does monies added become tax deferred until retirement? Do I need to open another account?

Thanks and Happy Holidays to all.............

I enjoy working with and analyzing figures, and thinking of changing career from being a debt collector to become a statistician. However, although I am highly numerate, I have trouble getting to the interview stage when applying for jobs. The main reason is that I have no work experience of a statistician.

Does anybody know where I can get such work experience from?

Thanks

We would like to make some major updates to the home before we sell. Does anyone know if it would be better to expand upwards and make our home a 3bd/2ba or if we should just expand out, making all the rooms just a bit bigger? Right now the property is .19 acres and the home is 1100 sq. ft.

I attempted to buy a Beazer Home in Clarksburg, Maryland. Beazer was forcing me to settle on an unrealistic date. When I said I could not settle on those suggested dates because I had not sold my home, I received a letter from Rob Shapiro that my contract to purchase the house was terminated and that my $15,000 deposit would not be refunded to me. As I tried to renegotiate the contract, I found out that the house was sold.

And also,

1) Submitted with my contract was an addendum that made this sale contingent upon me selling my home. The general manger selectively chose not to sign this addendum without notifying me of this action; 2) I was told that I would not qualify for two mortgages and my deposit would be fully refunded to me; and (3) Beazer was suggesting courses of actions that involved borrowing money under predatory conditions.

Beazer has refused to give me my deposit back. Be careful when trying to purchase a Beazer home - Clarksburg Maryland.
