I would like to know the number of days in a row a worker may work regardless of how the company's work week is scheduled

There is no limit, or no penalty to the number of days worked in a row. However, the employer owes overtime if more than 40 hours are worked during a week.

There are some exceptions to the 40 hours overtime rule. For example if the person is not an employee but rather an independent contractor, or if the peson is in the high salary "exempt" category.
