My summons is not signed by the "clerk of the court" (i am in cook county, chicago area )- based on what i read on the affidavit, the collection agency "purchased the account from the original creditor". I do not know what this is for - since the court date is schedule for next week, am i supposed to contact the attorney or the company to see what and how they got my information. I never received any notices from this collection agency. I do admit that i do not have the best credit and am making minimum wage. There are accounts on my credit report that are from 2000 thru 2003 , but i have been trying to pay them off. Where can i turn to for help? I cannot afford to pay the $2425.95 + cost as liisted in the summons.

During an interview I was told no job offer decisions would be made over the next four weeks. I want to send a thank you email but worry it will be forgotten by that time. Is it best to wait a couple of weeks and follow up or just send a warm thank you straight away?

I have been in a sales environment for quite some time, and though I never quite liked it - it paid the bills. Now I am considering changing careers - perhaps more towards client / relationship management. Can anyone give any help with regards to resumes, cover letters, skills to mention, etc.?

Would really be appreciated.

I have just started a job in sales at the wholesale level (two steps removed from the general public). I have a bachelor's in chemistry, so my job will be somewhat technical as well. I am, however, new to sales and was wondering if any sales people out there have any advice to share.

I spent a lot of time and money getting a Series 7 and 66 securities licence, as well as state life, health, and accident licences. I got a job with them, but I want to quit, but don't yet have anything lined up. Does anyone know of a way to keep them without being employed?

I have a question I would like to ask. If you are in the interview, the interviewer ask you if they can contact your supervisor? I know normally you would have to say yes. What happen if you know that your present boss is not going to say good thing about you eventhough you are a good worker. Would you say yes or no to the interviewer? If you said No, what is your response to it? Does it make you look bad?
