I am personally liable for my corporate card, and obtaining it was based on my personal credit, but they say it is policy (not in writing) to not report accounts in good standing, only those 180 days or more delinquent.

I'm 21. I'm still in school, but I NEED A BREAK. So I'm taking this semester off, and I was thinking of looking into some type of short program or certification to get...kind of like a realtor. Are travel agents required to get some sort of degree?? It's something that really interests me. I've worked at Banana Republic for awhile now...and I'm just tired of dealing w/ crappy retail!!!!

What are some benefits to becoming one??? Just any info you have would be useful I'm sure. Thanks!!! Happy Holidays :)

Okay here's whats going on.

I currently work for a major entertainment company. You've heard of it (it starts with a D). I just recently got a call to interview for a very good position that I have wanted for a very long time in another department.

After two phone interviews, I was set up for an in person interview. I met with 5 people and the director of the department last thursday.

This interview could not have gone better. they were asking when I could start and telling me what project I would be on. Showing me what I would be doing. everything.

They ended by saying that the recruiting supervisor would be in touch with me in the next few days.

Now I didn't meet with the Recruiting supervisor because she was out of town with a family emergancy.

On tuesday I sent everyone thank you letters (emails, because we all share the same email server). No one replied. I'm not sure if thats standard.

Now it's been a week and I'm not sure if I should call the recruiting supervisor and see whats going on. I don't want to appear insincere since she just had a family emergancy.

I've thought about calling her assistant and seeing whats up. But I don't want to offend her by not calling her.

So, it's been a week. they said she would get back to me in a day or two. but she has this family emergancy that might be holding her back.

I don't want this position to slip away. and I really want to know where I stand.

So should I call her and see whats up? should I call her assistant? or should I call next week?

I have one gap from several years ago where I decided it would be best to concentrate on school, and I graduated a few months ago (August), but I'm just working at a local game store. For the first gap, what should I put? Should I say that I felt the need to concentrate on school or what? And what about this recent gap? It's not technically a gap, since I *am* working, but how on earth can I make running a cash register at a game store look relevant on my resume? I'm looking at jobs in tech writing/editing.

Possesses a bachelor's degree (liberal arts), hates math and any type of analytical tasks, doesn't like to sit all day behind a PC, lest he actually starts shutting his eyes and almost falls asleep, will also go into a tired state of mind if he does repetitious work on a daily basis, likes to read, enjoys rock music and is friendly on the phone.

After years of hard slog I am finally a higher rate tax payer. As my financial situation has now changed I'm reviewing my 'finances'. I have some spare cash at the end of each month and was wondering where is it going to work harder for me:

option 1 - overpaying the mortgage?
option 2 - paying it into a low cost pension?
option 3 - in cash isas?
option 4 - in index tracking share isas?

I know this isn't an easy question, there are just so many variables, which is why I've posted it here, has anyone else given this some thought?

Thanks in advance,
Ben.

I.E., a computer could be an asset because it could be rented out, and thus would generate money on its own. I am looking for a list of things that would be considered assets, as opposed to liabilities, in the home. Things that could be used to create money without me being there. (Think "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" concept). Thanks a lot.

I've often heard of a corporation purchasing some of its own stock back because they thought that was a good value or price at the time. Can a company theoretically buy ALL of its own stock back? If so, who would own the company, would it be a non-profit organization or a co-op of some sort? Consider if the company basically had little value, such as when assets equals debt.

But money runs the world so what can ya do? Any help with this at all will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I already have: being creative, staying competitive, various types of clients, long hours, new technology, and stressful conditions. If there are any others you can think of, tell me. I just want to move at this point. The place smells so bad. When I went to view the place before I began renting I didn't smell the cat urine because there were all these air freshners. I didn't think much of it, but after we moved it the smell was overwhelming. I have tried to clean and nothing works, the carpet needs to be replaced. The landlord is apparently a slum lord and needs to learn a good lesson in being honest. Can I break my lease?
