I have answered this question before on interviews - and gotten the jobs. When asked what my greatest weakness was, I told them I was not a social person. I prefer to work and stay busy rather than chit-chat to my co-workers and slow down the work process. There is a time and place to socialize (lunch hour/after work) and during work hours is not the time. The employer pays me to come into work and produce work and not socialize. Some people think this is a weakness. When asked what my strengths were I said I am a worker, am willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done (work through my lunch hour, work overtime, work on the weekends). I have perfect attendance also. I've been at my current job for over 8 years now and have not called in sick in 6 years. When I had to call in sick 6 years ago, I wasn't sick. I had some personal business that needed to be taken care of and that was the only way I could get it done in a timely manner was to call in sick. I have never called in sick at my part-time job and I've been there almost 5 years. I am what an employer would call a model employee.

It's a simple question:
Name something that is a real weakness that is real and then finish it how you over come it. Please note note something that would kill the job interview.
Example: (Don't use for a secretary position)
My weakness is organization. I overcome this weakness with creating to do list, and trying to label thing and put them in the folder the first time.
Example of strength:
I'm really good at logical problems, I enjoy spending time breaking down an "impossible" problem into smaller pieces so that it can be completed.
Another example of strength:
I enjoy the interaction of projects in teams. (Team player) But at times I feel some projects don't need to evolve everyone, but I seek out the people with the knowledge to complete the task well.
*** Never say you don't have a weakness. That is just stupid, everyone has a weaker area. We are built on strengths and weaknesses.

As a former recruiter, the best answer to:
What is your greatest weekness? (pick 1)
a. not completing my degree
b. not completing my masters
c. not completing my Phd.
Those answers allow your interviewer to feel like you were being truthful. If they ask you to explain, just use the good old "life/work/family got in the way" and I've always planned to finish it.
What is your greatest strength?
a. Completing my degree and other things I've started.
b. multi-tasking and ontime and under budget, completion of assigned duties
The interviewer will love it! It worked for me to get my jobs, and it worked for my candidates getting theirs.

Your greatest weaknesses should be your devotion to your job. your strengths should be the fact that you are a quick learner and a natural leader
