I am attending an interview tomorrow morning and I realise I am short of ideas as to what to prepare, what questions are likely to be asked, and what is expected of me.

I been investing for many years and I dont know how this thing works.

Say a company has 10 million shares at 10 dollars a share now on Wall street they are buying and selling shares a broker there is so if I want to buy I offer a price say market and he does it for me or same with sale. But what drives the price up or down. say someone buys 1 million of those 10 million shares what happens to the price. does it go up 10% to 11 or is it a bidding war or what I know when people are buying the stocks go up but like whats the % if say the over all maket has 12 trillion in it and 1.2 trillion comes in do the previous owners get 10% return. Similarly on the sell I dont understand that either. When they say the market is valued at 12 trillion does that mean if everybody sold shares on the same day they get all that money or is it really like only valued at 12 but actually worth less. Can some one explain this basic simple fact I never learned

You can buy something from some guys ebay store for $60 but you have to pay $30 shipping where as you could buy the same thing from a different seller and only pay $10 shipping but they also want $80 for the same product. these aren't actual stats but I see stuff like this all the time when browsing ebay, what do you think?

I am currently an independent agent & do it part time to suppliment my regular income. I have been toying with the idea of starting an agency & contract/employ others so I can also suppliment.

I contract with a few companies now & wanted to see if it would be worth while to start my own agency and get a few small soliciting contracts with some companies that I know of.

Can you tell me how troublesome the process is? I am not trying to franchise though, like an Allstate or State Farm. I would prefer to keep the independence. Any ideas on the fees & costs?

I am a "mature woman" over 35, let's just say.... I have a wonderful job with a very solid company. I had a career in the military before the private sector. I took a "step down" at this company after resigning from a position where I was the Director, so that I could have my son and be more available to him. My husband also works.....because of traffic I take the early shift to pick up my son from daycare... I am on Salary, not on "the clock" so I shouldn't have people "watching" me at my paygrade....
I meet regularly with my manager....this morning she said she hated to have this conversation with me, but asked me about my work hours....I told her I do leave a few minutes before 4:00 because we have to take a bus to the parking lot on the other side of town, which puts me 20 min's behind schedule.... She said another manager complained that I was leaving early and I can't leave before 4, I'm actually angry, as I find this to be a huge slap in the face. What would you do?

There is a new restructure at work and management have suggested that if staff is interested into new jobs they will be happy to support their training.
After a long search I found the prefect part -time course for environmental issues which will be a new department in my work.
I got through a long process for my application and I was accepted in college , the problem is I need my company to support me as study leave and financially.
They are normally quite good and they give you up 70% of the fees .
But I've just got news that they won't give me the time off or the money as it has nothing to do with my job.It is all a contradiction to me as this is not true. Does anybody has good agruments for me to go to H.R for a second chance?

any suggestions? They are pointing the finger at each other. All other managers received their bonus, but I was the only one left out. I brought this up to our president, but he passed it back down to my supervisor. Is there any legal recourse I could follow?
