Contact a local "Head Hunter" or Temp Agency. They can place you in a position whether it is full or part time. The position can turn into full time or at least give you an income until you find something else.
Good Luck!!!

If you don't have a good resume you need to get one quickly. I would suggest a good resume writing company who can conduct an interiew with you....and take that information and compile a good solid resume.
If you use a head hunter be very careful...also be aware that some "headhunters" take part of your salary if they help you find a job....I would never use one... I suggest something like a Recruiter from an established and reputable company like "Robert Half, or FPC.
In the meantime, browse careerbuilder and monster.
Good Luck!

Depends on qualifications and work experience, but recommend going to Jobcentre Plus regardless as they should be able to assist you finding something short term. Other suggestions - retail, many shops are looking for additional people around Christmas. It may not be right for you - but it'll pay the bills till you found something you like.
