Try transcription. There are a lot of firms that do it and you could wok at home. The Money from your homeplace schemes don't always work and so be wary of them. You could also start website development and try your hand at that. Or maybe graphics design with Photoshop or Corel Draw

there aren't many of those that exist. I have successfully worked from home on a few occasions. You need to be a creative entrepreneur and develop a talent that is marketable. Here are some things that I have done in the past with a breakdown of what I made:
Ebay-sold used children's clothing : $2000 per month
taught myself html (before flash and the fun new stuff) and built websites: $1000-2000 per month
Digitally restored and or retouched photos: $200-$800 per week
Figure out what you can do. Find a way to market your talent...ebay is a great source. And make a go at it. It'll take time and effort. And believe me it will take up your time just as much if not more so than a 9-5 job. That is why i no longer work from home lol. I never had time for my kids!

Start your own business with online typing. You need a good computer, broadband internet and software to cope with digital dictation. Offer your services to local businesses and you should get lots of work if you are reliable and make their deadlines. Or digital photo services if you are artistic and computer literate. Or proofreading.
Other suggestions are making birthday cakes if you are artistic, childminding (although you need to be registered and trained), buying and selling on Ebay or setting up your own website.
