I have worked at Subway for over a year and a half. I recent;y (2 wks ago) got a 35C raise. Is this normal or should I be asking what's going on? I had to bug my boss for a month to get the raise i got... not that i am not happy with it, but after being there a year and saving his butt from gettin shut down a few times i was just curious about what I should do. I dont want to get another job because i love working there.

Are these sort of like internet chat rooms for people without the internet? How do the companies make money if they are really free? Also, why can I connect to some using my cell phone but not my house phone? And also, is there a good list of them somewhere on the internet?
Thanks for any insights. :)

I lost my wallet including driver's licence, 3 credit cards, social security card, ATM receipts, etc. I called all credit card companies to cancel the cards, and put a fraud alert on my credit file. I have heard of social security cards being used fraudulently to apply for jobs, etc. What steps should I take to protect myself?

I know that yahoo finance has the value of the stock today and illustrates a chart with the behavior from inception of the stock until present, but is that data available somewhere other tha nthe plot? I mean, in a database or in a spreadsheet?

I put in an offer on a home a few weeks ago that was $75,000 less than listing price. My agent looked less than enthused to be wasting his time drawing up the papers. We did anyhow, and he called me an hour later to let me know my offer was flat out rejected with no counter offer. How do I know he actually put my offer in (I am aware it is against the law if he didn't) Do all buyer's agents get a rejection letter from the seller's agent? I would like proof that it was rejected (since I don't trust him) Was wondering how I find out it was truly rejected. This is in Mass. Thanks

Two years ago, me and two others bought a house but left me off the title and loan due to my credit issues.

Now one of the owners need to file bankruptcy. We are prepared to refi one of our loans to pay his portion out.

My concern, is that his portion will be be a third of the equity in the home, however when he goes to court I'm concerned that the bank/creditors will ask why his share was not equitable and demand more money.

He does not want a Homestead exemption, just to cut his losses and move on.

Will the bank question this or is it worrying about nothing?

I have receipts showing my payments on the mortgage even though I'm not on it.

Does anyone know how much a lawyer costs?

Thanks

In 1976 as a secretary I earned $4.85 per hour, 40 hours per week.
In 2006 as a manager I earn $15.44 per hour, 40 hours per week.
Adjusting for inflation, am I really earning anymore money now than I did back in 1976?

I have been working through a temp service for the past 6 months. I was told that "after 480 hours, you will get hired on." Well, I've worked over 800 hours, I've worked all the crap jobs, over time, and everything else they have asked me to do yet still not hired on. Not to mention that they can't get my freaking paycheck right. I'm still waiting on $200 they owe me from 2 weeks ago from screwing up my overtime pay. Today, my boss had the nerve to tell me I had to work Saturday. What is the point to that? I don't CARE anymore if they are behind at work. I'm $200 short on my bills thanks to those morons. If you were in this situation, would you even bother to go in on Saturday? Most likely it will take them a month to pay you your wages.

If anybody could help me I would greatly appreciate it and if you would like, you don't have to reply to this board and instead you can e-mail me at lv_panthers1@hotmail.com or shaynastolte@yahoo.com . Thank you to anyone that reads this and helps me!

I just lost my job yesterday. I am getting a somewhat generous severance package but it will not last long. I don't want to use my savings once the lump sum is gone if I still have not gotten a good job. What do I do with my mortgage and my credit cards? Can I ask for any type of extension/break? What happens if I don't pay for at least a month? Maybe two? I know I can get a job rather soon, but most likely until mid January '07 or so (due to Holidays) but I don't want to use my savings. Please, advise.
