love to hear from anyone who knows about this industry, can this type of job lead to anything else more techical etc

Is a good career, You work long hours though and travel 1000,s of miles a year. You also need to be able to work at heights. It won't lead to a more technical job, you just mount dish, drill hole for the cable, and install the system. You will be entering peoples homes, so you will need an enhanced disclosure / police pnc check. Your employed as an installation engineer. There are no career upgrades :) Hope this helps.

i became in the aerial setting up agency for 10 years. Your first prblem is the capitol required for a van,plus inventory, aerials,dishes,plugs,cables and so on and so on. Then u want ladders large and small,plus strategies,and drills. waiting to start up? providing u do not innovations heights,you'll locate the busy time is in the iciness,so u may be on roofs so chilly u won't be able to sense your palms. desire this helps.

was torn between doing that and cable installation, found cable (ntl, telewest etc) way more lucrative and you aint got the risk of falling from a 3rd story roof! depends on where your based too i spose

you need to be an astronaut then. or you could work on ground based dishes and tv systems.
