I have worked at Subway for over a year and a half. I recent;y (2 wks ago) got a 35C raise. Is this normal or should I be asking what's going on? I had to bug my boss for a month to get the raise i got... not that i am not happy with it, but after being there a year and saving his butt from gettin shut down a few times i was just curious about what I should do. I dont want to get another job because i love working there.

Is this the only raise you've received? Most companies provide a standard cost of living raise annually of about 3-5% of your pay. Ask your boss for a performance review and see if there are things you can improve on that they feel would get you a raise. If you don't get anywhere from that it might be time to consider another job that can pay better.

How much do you make an hour? If it is less than 12.00/hr,you did great with a .35 raise because most people only get about a 3% raise a year ($12.00 x 3% = 0.36)

But if you feel like you truly deserve more talk to your boss again. If that doesn't work you might want to start looking.

Okay, fast-food. In general, they have a high turn over rate when it comes to employee's hired, fired and quiting. Not knowing what state you live in, or having an unbiased performance review of your work history, I'd say that what you got is great. Especially if your boss is as incompetent as you make his/her performance out to be!
