Depends. If the job requires you to use both hands then no, they are not hiring to put you on disability. Most jobs it would not matter, let them know when it due to come off.

if your arm is in a cast do you think any one would hire you its best you wait until you are ready for work

Of course they will hire you if you have a good reason. If you say that you got it because you slipped on a wet floor that's okay but don't say that you got it from bashing someone.
