i took this career thing at my school and after all the questions my number one choice was a website designer but i just wanted to know what a website designer does cuz i have NO CLUE what i want my job to be and im open to jobs so i would like to know if anyone does.

mostly a website designer figures out how to make a site pretty and still incorporate all the crap the other people in the company want on the site. it can be difficult because often what you learn in school is not what the rest of the world wants.
In a large company, a designer only come up with the skin for the site and developers do the useibility, but in a smaller company, you would most likely be responsible for all of it.
