My husband is going to be off of work for a medical reason. We are self-employed truck drivers. Does anyone know how to make offers to credit card co. we don't want to default on anything it would just help if we could get some interest dropped off so we could try and get them completely paid off before he is hospitalized. thank you for any help.

I cosigned with my mom to get a house about 10 years ago. She refinanced a few years back and we thought my name was no longer on it but last week it was discovered that I'm still on the title. Now she is selling the house, my concern is, with the profit she is making from the house--will I be liable for any part of it on my income taxes since my name is on the title?

to missing a few payments and then eventualy paying it off, does it affect your credit rating in the same way, if you are not going to get credit again because you took a longer time to paying it off, to not paying it at all?

I took out a mortgage loan with a lender and was swindled out of $34,000 which was my down payment. This was all of the money that I had saved all my life. I was buying my dream house. I have searched the NC laws and now know that my claim is valid. I cant afford an attorney and Legal Aid wont help me because I am a homeowner and hold a bank account and a job (part-time very low paying). I need a copy of my mortgage closing docs for the loan in order to prove my case. I also need the assistance of an attorney to write the letters on my behalf. I am willing to pay a fee of $500 out of proceeds received. I live in NC. Do you know of anyone qualified that will help me? I am willing to give you my e-mail address. vtimlic2002@yahoo.com May I have yours?

With my business, customers have reocurring bills quarterly. I want to let them know that they can now pay with credit card, or give us their credit card number to keep on file. What is the best way to let 700 existing customers know that we are now capable of taking credit cards.

At my previous address I had a credit card which I maxed out. Times were quite hard (I was living alone as a student) and I was only 18.

I moved house over two years ago now and have never heard anymore about it ever again. Not that I'm daft enough to think that's the end of that. Although I admit I was daft enough to bury my head in the sand over all this.

However, I now wish to sort this out and I want to pay back what I am due. However, I am on a low income so would need to pay back small amounts at a time. I'm worried that if I inform the credit card company of my current address that they'll send the bailiffs straight round (and this is my parents' home), I really can't let my parents be dragged into this.

Ideally, I'd be able to set up some sort of repayment plan.

However, if bailiffs WILL be sent, would I be best to "stick it out" and just hope they'll write off the debt? I'd much prefer not to do this, but may have no choice? Don't wish to be dishonest

I am having a difficult time deciding on a major in school. I have an AS in Graphic Design. I enjoyed the courses, but I never did anything with the degree. I decided to go back to school to get my BS in Business, because that seemed like a practical choice. I am just not sure if business is the right degree for me, but I don't know how I really feel about the alternatives. My school offers a Certificate in Gerontology (study of aging) which you can get with any major, but they also offer a BS in Urban Studies with a concentration in Gerontology and a BS in Psychology with a concentration in Gerontology.

Which of these options do you think is better? Should I stick with Business and get the certificate in Gerontology, or switch to either Urban Studies or Psych and do a concentration? I think I would like to work in either a retirement community or nursing home as an Activities/Events Director/Planner. Thanks for your help!!

I was wondering, if I went to an ATM right now and deposited cash, would I instantly have the money in my account? If not, would going to the bank and depositing cash through a teller make the money instantly available to my account?

I work in the accounting department at a large law firm. I have some ideas on how to estimate cash flow in the coming year, but would like more suggestions. One way I am already doing is an excel spreadsheet that will examine the aging on recievables from last year, and the amount uncollected. Then take those percentages of beginning A/R (ie: what % of Januarys recievables were collected in Jan, then Feb, then Mar, then written off) and apply them to projected billables for the coming year. Does anyone have any other good suggestions?
