I moved in the beginning of November. Besides the cockroaches in the kitchen and ants in the bathroom (and other various issues), the worst thing is the upstairs neighbors are inconsiderate clods who walk like Clydesdales when they're home. Sometimes it's as if they're having a ho-down up there. They have zero consideration that someone lives below them and it's literally unbearable living there. I want out but I still have 11 months on my lease. There's no way I could still live there for another 11 months, I get headaches from the pounding. My landlord STILL hasn't given me a copy of my lease ("I have to go through paperwork" he says). I know I can't just leave and I want all my deposit back. The landlord is like a car dealer, he's a shady character with a fake smile who never gives an honest answer about anything, besides being an irresponsible buffoon. What are my options here?

Features like interior "bridges," loads of built-in shelving, open-concept peculiarities, etc, look fantastic to me, but I can see how they might look a little odd to others.

This is a got-a-full-page-in-the-housing-section-of-the-local-paper "unique" house.

Are there any rules of thumb vis-a-vis just going with square footage, given that "artistic" house touches add value to some people but decrease it to others to the extent where it ends up as neutral?

It's one thing to compare standard houses where you can say "den, dining room, 4 bedrooms, etc...", but I have no idea where one even starts estimating the value of something like an attached log cabin.

Any thoughts?

I have $200 capital gain in stock market. Do I need to report it to IRS? Is there a minimum amount of gain that require reporting to the IRS?

Why does IRS only look at the price of stock sell but not the price of purchase? The tax me $4200 for the sellings x share of stocks. I show them the actual price of purchase and indicate a net loss. The IRS ignore me sent me a warning letter.

Does the IRS need money desperately right now?

Me and my husband both are doctors! He's in a field in which the working hrs are very long say 10-12 hrs a day! & its going to stay like that for next 10 yrs. I'm on a platform where I have to make a choice between a very hectic field or a less hectic 9-5 kind of job with no emergency calls! I need advice from married people, that does it cause any problem if both the partners are doing very busy jobs? My husband is very nice n caring he says he'll never ever stand in between me and my career, but I don't want my kids to suffer later due to lack of attention from both the parents. Shall I take the less hectic field, it pays less but I like it ...or shall I worry about earning a lot? My husband does that job nicely!
