You apply for a credit card and you get declined. You call and find out its because u have old medical bills on your credit report BUT u don't remember one of these visits to the doctor. You discover its from a surgery that u didn't have that year that you're getting bill for. You call the state department of doctors and there is no listing of the doctor. Noone has heard of him. You call the hospital where u supposedly had the surgery and they redirect you to another city where the bills are handle. They see no record of u having this surgery but they find the doctor. The doctor doesn't work with them anymore. Now u have a bill on your credit report basically from no where. Your credit is getting messed up now u can't get any credit cards, student loans, get a car, etc etc. Who is the blame? The insurance company for not covering what they were suppose to cover in the first place? Meaning u shouldn't have never had a bill from jump. The hospital for bogus paper work or the doctor?

I signed up for an online subscription in June. I submitted a request to cancel a few days later, but the company never acknowledged my request to cancel my subscription. I have continuously tried to contact them, asking them to cancel and refund the amounts charged to my credit card in error, but they are unwilling to cooperate. As of this writing, the company owes me $99.75. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding this issue, but the BBB could not get a response from the company. I want to try to resolve this once and for all.

Please only answer if you know..... ie you were a temp and now perm after being hired by the company, or you are a manager her HR rep who uses Temp agencies. THANKS!
I am in a temp to hire position my hire date is in a few weeks, I am pretty sure the company will ask me to stay so thats not a problem. My question is, I was hired at one pay, upon them asking me stay and be hired on by them what are my rights as far asking for a raise, since they pay me one price and the temp agency another for using me. Any ideas?

What yearly rate can you expect in a low return mutual fund? How about a high return mutual fund?

How much can you lose?

What is the worst case scenario of investing in mutual funds (besides the bank closing down and run away)?

Looking for more space, and also the potential to actually buy a house. Don't care for NJ. Specifically thinking upstate NY or CT. Are there up-and-coming areas that you would reccomend for a young couple in their 30s who work in Manhattan but don't want to live in Manhattan?

What is the commute like (train)?
What are real estate prices like?

thanks for any advice

I haven't worked other than odd and end jobs cleaning houses in over a year & a half since I had a high risk pregnancy with my daughter. All I wanted to do is stay home with her and not miss anything her 1st year. But now she will be 1yr old in 2 wks and I am feeling pressure from my husband to help pay the bills but he doesn't want me to put her in daycare but I don't have anyone to keep her and the truth is that I am lost.I have a diploma in medical claims but there are no openings in our area for this field.Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do for a job so that I don't have to be away from my daughter very much.Or ideas to solve the problem of someone to care for her while I work.

I work in a law office. Most of the lawyers are very professional, except that one guy.. you know who he is. He curses, he uses foul vile dirty language around women, men, young, old. He's a jerk basically. Would you pay that kind of a person to be your lawyer?
