I signed up for an online subscription in June. I submitted a request to cancel a few days later, but the company never acknowledged my request to cancel my subscription. I have continuously tried to contact them, asking them to cancel and refund the amounts charged to my credit card in error, but they are unwilling to cooperate. As of this writing, the company owes me $99.75. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding this issue, but the BBB could not get a response from the company. I want to try to resolve this once and for all.

If you paid by credit card, contact your card company and dispute the charge. They are pretty good and quick in getting the charge reversed. Contacting BBB is only to have a negative record against the company, but they won't refund to you your money. Only your credit card company can do that.

Log in to your credit card account. There is always a link DISPUTE THIS CHARGE. Click on that link and explain to them why this charge should be reversed.

Or contact them by phone. I did that yesterday with Amex on a subscription I never agreed with, and they processed it. It takes about a couple of months before you see the charge erased, but nonetheless, it disappears.

Call the phone number on the back of the card and tell them you want to dispute the charge. You will not be responcible for that amount, unless thay rule against you.

You are in luck ! you paid for this with your credit card and you are protected under Federal Regulation E . All you have to do is file a fraud claim with the bank that handles your credit card, by law they have to investigate the claim and provide you with provisional credit , there is a time limit for reporting claims , so hurry !

If the BBB cannot help you, contact the Attorney General's Office in your state.
