I know for a fact that a person can write a check on a tshirt or a brown bag or bevnap, etc etc but someone is arguing with me about it. Im trying to find an official site that shows that this is 100% legal. While im sure that most banks wont take a check written on a pepsi bottle or a scrap sheet of paper, by law it is still considered to be a valid check.

I do not find money motivating because I do not want materialistic items. The only reason I want it is because I want to retire early, which is hard to do. So I ask, is working hard in school worth it in the long run even if I do not want the money that might come along with it?

I have heard that I could go to a credit union that I belong to...problem is, I have bad credit. I know that there are private lenders out there that will help....BUSINESS PLAN IS SOLID. This wine boutique franchise is taking the nation by storm...I want to be in on it..lol..just need to get with the right people that know and understand about starting up a business with nothing but a dream and a plan.

Myself, as I'm sure everyone else, could use some supplemental income. I am over 40 and in a solid relationship with my girlfriend. I like the bar scene. Helping others blow off some steam at a bar or lounge after work is a great stress reliever. I get along with people very well and the idea of bartending is appealing. I also work full time. What are the pros and cons of being "certified"? or is that ranking just a term? I have no expierence as bartender, but there are ads saying they are willing to teach. Really need someone in the business for a while, not just an opinon. Can you help? Thank you!

I have a better job offer and I am leaving. I know my boss likes me & will want to know why, does it pay to be honest and say it is a) because this other job is better but also partly because this guy I have to work with has such an attitude problem and is alternatingly inconsiderate and bossy, ingratiating to customers,(only to talk about them the second they leave) rude to employees, etc. etc. or just assume he knows what this guy is like & leave w/o saying anything? I feel like I really want to tell someone and I know I am not supposed to tell the new job anything bad about the old one (but I don't know why this makes me look bad, if it's the truth, I know you're not supposed to complain or they might think it was you and not him, but sometimes it is HIM! ).....
