Rubadpi is absolutely right. My husband does not pay taxes. I told IRS and they don't care. I told the police, and they don't care. He hides 50, 60, $70,000 CASH in the house, his car, his office.
Believe me, keep it all in cash and no one will ever even ASK you to pay tax.

Not eveyone! In the UK, an employee can have a personal allowance before they start paying. In 2006-2007 the personal allowance is £5,035. Some people can earn a bit more before they start paying tax, if they're over 65! Also, self employed people can earn money and input monthly profits into the business, only paying themselves a certain amount as a personal allowance, say £88 per week (unsure of actual levels) then pay themselves a 'bonus' every month. This way they can earn the same money, but no tax and is perfectly legal. Hope this answers your question!!

Everybody, directly or indirectly, pays taxes. Even if your income is low enough not to pay federal income tax, you're probably still paying sales tax when you purchase goods. Also, most of us are paying real estate taxes as well. Even if you're a renter, part of your rent payment will be going to pay the landlord's real estate taxes. So, there's no avoiding taxes!

Single mothers don't pay income tax providing they make under about 25k. Earned income credit affords them additional money from the government. Wealthy people pay less of a percentage than the middle class. They know how to hide money in offshore accounts.

My next door neighbours don't pay tax, they live entirely on state benefits. They get disability benefit, housing benefit, child allowance, child support, and income support. they also get the highest rate mobility allowance which leads to them having a new car every 3 years from Motability.
Strange how when he is in view, he staggers about on crutches with an agonised look on his face, and yet in the garden he walks perfectly normally and does his gardening, including putting-up 6ft fences and mowing lawns, digging borders etc.etc.

Nope. I worked for the Collection Division with the IRS for 28 years, retired 4 yrs ago. In the USA millions of people have large unpaid tax debts and IRS employees often do NOT properly do their jobs and they let people off the hook who can pay. I have written to big shots at he IRS, to US Senators, news mags, to Fox TV's Bill O'Reily and NO ONE cares. I even told this in person to IRS Commisioner Charles Rosotti, I told him I have copies of IRS cases to proof what I say. He did not want to see. I said then and I say now, the IRS is guilty of cnstructive fraud, waste, and abuse. And the IRS knows where to find me, and YES I STILL HAVE COPIES OF THE IRS CASES. Now sit back and enjly paying your share of taxes and other peoples share cuz the BIG BAD IRS and other big shots in government do not care.
