I am considering applying to the World Bank for a job as an Admin Asst./ Secretary but wonder if I really should. I have an M.A. and would like a job more suitable to more qualifications, ability and experience. But it is the World Bank after all, and it could open a lot of doors professionally. I just wonder if I should consider a less prestigious, but still highly reputable, organization (there are lots of those in DC) that would offer greater professional advancement.

Let me know what you think!

I have a degree in Business Management/Marketing, but hate sitting in an office all day. I also sold media for Raycom Media (WOIO/WUAB). The job was very lucrative and I functioned well in that capacity, however it was to much pressure and I was never home (family is important to me.) I went to school for teaching, but after a year I decided that the job market and salary would not meet my needs. I am very artistic. I love to draw, read, write, decorate my home and bake. I enjoy helping and taking care of others when they are sick or listening when they need advice. I am not afraid to get my hands dirty and although I know nothing about automobiles, I have no problem opening up the hood and trying to figure out what is going on (my husband does not appreciate this). I really like to garden and plant flowers. I get bored easily and enjoy variety. Unfortunately, most of the jobs that I would like do not pay very well. Most people do not understand why I would rather make $5/hr deliveri

I am trying to apply for jobs in the customer service field and I had a internet resume company give me an evaluation on my current resume. They came back and told me that I used the words "I and Me" to much in the objective and that I needed to change it up a bit. At first, I thought to myself that they were just criticizing it because they wanted me to pay $200.00 to get one done with them professionally, but after a weeks of searching for a job and getting no response from any employers (I've applied for about 100 jobs and I have four years experience in the customer service field), I am starting to wonder. Can anyone help me?

Some companies require that you wear their 'shirt' not literally but I mean act this way - walk that way - comment this way and actually give up your personality and start imitating the boss. If you don't imitate the boss they treat you as if you do not 'like' them. Any ideas ?

My wife and I are planning on moving to Texas and when we do we want to buy a home as opposed to renting.
My wife has a 630 credit rating and I have a 625 credit rating. However, I had a bankruptcy discharge in my name only one year ago.

Will we qualify and what should we expect a monthly payment to be on a $140,000 home. Can we get zero down? What kind of interest rate should we expect?

Any help would be appreciated.
David

I ordered $80.00 worth of their candy almost 2 months ago and still have not got it. They have cashed my mastercard as soon as they received my order. The operator at this place keeps telling me that the foreman is not there and that he will get back to me.

Do you enjoy your work and what would a typical day be like for a grant writer. It seems as though it would be rewarding (especially in assisting no-profit agencies). I'm curious about the realities of the job. Thanks!
