Some companies require that you wear their 'shirt' not literally but I mean act this way - walk that way - comment this way and actually give up your personality and start imitating the boss. If you don't imitate the boss they treat you as if you do not 'like' them. Any ideas ?

Most people, if they have to work to earn a living, have to make some compromise on these things. A huge part of keeping a job and getting along at it is about pretending, unless you have the freedom to do exactly what it is you want to do and to say whatever you like. You have to decide how far you are are willing to "pretend" to go along with the boss's agenda. I'd say if you really need this job make some effort to seem agreeable, but don't actually make yourself say or do things you don't believe in. You still have to have your soul when you get out of the job.

Well, it depends on the job. For example, if you want to work as a cop, you gotta sound confident and at the same time, you have to have good customer service and manners.

You have to know how to play the game in the outside world.

Show some backbone, man. Are you seriously considering becoming a yes man? Either resist the assimilation or start the jobhunt. Good luck to you.

if you don't like the job, it's best to find another one where you have more "freedom". but if you need this job really bad, put up with it until you find another one.
