You are not out of luck, go to the place you filed that year because they are required to retain a copy of your tax return for up to 3 years. Next, go to the website listed below. They lay out in detail how to obtain a copy from the IRS.

There is not a site to go to.

You can get a free transcript from the IRS or a copy of the return from the IRS for a fee. Unfortunately, I do not recall the form number to request these items. Go to IRS.gov and search for transcript.

Your tax preparer should have a copy of your tax returns. If you filed your own taxes, then it's up to you to retain a copy. If you don't have a copy, then you're unfortunately out of luck.
