I'm worried that we won't sell our house in time for the new one being completed. Does anyone know of free sites I could advertise on other than Craigslist or Kijiji? I am located in the Lower Mainland area of British Columbia, Canada.
Thank you!

After an argument with my supervisor, I quit my job where I had worked for ten years. When I quit, I had about 20 unused vacation days. Don't they have to pay me for those days, since I never took them off? If so, what if they refuse to give it to me?

I'm an unmarried mother and part time college student. I would like to get a refund at tax time but the money would be more useful each week.

Also, can you claim more expemtions on your W4 than people in your family? If so, how?

I think that the worse job I have ever done up until this point is working as a bar back in a pizza shop. The pay sucked and the people were often rude. The tips were Ok on friday and saturday. I am in the medical field now. Close to becoming a nurse. The people are more friendly and the pay is a whole lot better.

One of my credit card companies has offered me a check to do anything I want to with. I can write the check up to $7500 and pay less than 1% interest for the next 6 months.
I can take that money, put it in my money market and earn 5.25% interest. This will net me about $120-130 dollars and then I will just pay it off before the interest rate goes up to 4.99%. I will only write the check for $7000. I realize this might lower my credit score, but my score is 817 now.
Should I do this??

I am looking for a very "Marketable" name. My previous business was called Two Blind Guys. However, I am moving towards more products and Interiors. I have been thinking of "CSI" Creative source Interiors because of the wordplay (like the tv show) and how I can market that. Please give me some ideas that you might have that would be "Marketable" with creative advertising.

I am a reserve police officer in Texas. I do not get paid but I volunteer and perform the same functions as the full time paid officers. I have spent my personal money for guns, duty belt, gas back and forth, equipment, etc. Can I tax deduct these items and if so what IRS form would I use? Am I considered employed even though I'm not paid?

We have a one family house which we own and used to live in. We currently own and live in a two family house since 1997. So we collect rent from the house we live in ($1,100)and from our other house($1,450). We are thinking of selling our other house to payoff our mortgage on our current residence. We owe about $150,000 on a $175,000 mortgage with an 30-year fixed loan at 7.75%. So we are paying about 2k a month for the mortgage. Our other house is probably worth between $300k-$400k. We have owned this house since about 1990. So if we sell it we would be able to payoff our mortgage and then have the rest for ourselves after taxes etc...Or we have thought about refinancing, but maybe it would be better to payoff the mortgage?
