Hi,
I need independent financial pension advice and am nervous about those unscrupulous people who tie you in to their own products.
How do I find out where an independent advisor can help me plan to invest in my pension?
I am in a company scheme but the company is ethically forbidden from advising so I need to look externally.
Many thanks
Steve

I work at Target as a manager. As a shopper, I love Target. As an employee, I am disatisfied.

We have no union- raises are once a year, and a good raise for a manager is about .75 cents and a good raise for a regular employee is about .25 cents. We do not get paid vacations. Managers have 1 week unpaid vacation and a few (I think 4) paid sick days. Regular employees might have collected about 3 days of vacation after a year, depending on how much they work.

Employees get promoted to managers, but VERY rarely are managers promoted to executives. Executive poisitons are filled by outsiders over I'd say 90% of the time.

We are over-worked and underpaid for the miracles they expect us to perform, and it's not just at my store, it's a problem at many stores.

I work in an office, in a cubicle. Sitting about 8 feet behind me sits a very large, kinkos-sized printer that has an annoying/loud internal-fan inside of it that runs all day long. The printer can't be shut off- it's used too often. I'm afraid of being asked to move, considering I'm new to the firm, and it seems weird. I've tried earplugs, but I don't like 'em. I'm looking for a creative, great answer to help me with my problem. Thanks and God Bless.

I work for a multi million dollar financial company. i have been there fro 1 year. For the past 2 months, they have been talking about doing a fundraiser for my son who has medical issues. They were talking about going company wide and I have e-mail corrispondance regarding this fundraiser. During this time, the fundraiser was postponed for a month, they said to make sure that they did it right, I borrower $3000 from one of the companies that we do business with to pay off one of my son's doctors bills from the specialist to ensure that he could continue getting treatment there. I was going to pay them back as soon as the fundraiser kicked off. The fundraiser was cancelled sighting legal issues with soliciting over e-mail. The next day, one of the other employees in the company e-mailed the district managers and told them that there was money that was borrowed and not paid back and I was terminated for conflict of interest. Do I have any recourse at all?
