we really want to be togather but i get ssi and ssdi he would get a job once in usa is there any way the afidavit of support could wait until he got in and got a job? or do I need to give up and go to mexico to live with him? would rather get the k-visa if possible any ideas?

Go to Mexico. You are already drawing money and I don't believe you that he would get a job once he got here. Besides the fact that if he did get a job and you were living together, his income would affect your ability to draw SSI. Unless you didn't report it, which would be wrong!!!

Find a cosponsor.
Also, Catholic Charities can offer low cost assistance.
