It cant be see there is definately bonus issue or share split.
More than 10 percent fluctuate is not possible in the market after 10 percent script wont be able to trade.

So one among above two should have happened and both are good for you as an investor.

The share price of Opto Circuits has been adjusted for bonus issue. Bonus was declared in the ratio of 1:1 (i.e. one new share for every one share held) and the record date for the bonus issue was 31st October 2006. Since we are following the T+2 (Trading day + 2 days) system for settlement, the trades of 27th October were settled on 31st October. Therefore, on the next trading day after 27th October, which happend to be 30th October, the share price was adjusted for the bonus issue.

If you were holding 100 shares of Opto on 31st October, you would now be holding 200 shares, due to the bonus issue.

Before the bonus issue if you were holding 100 shares, @ Rs. 553/- per share its value was Rs. 55,300/-. Now that you would be holding 200 shares, @ Rs. 280/- per share its value would be Rs. 56,000/-. Therefore, the value of your holding has increased marginally.

Further, Opto has declared its 2nd quarter results today. Opto has reported a 110% growth in net profit, when compared to the 2nd quarter of the previous financial year. This should have a positive impact on its share price over the next few weeks.

it had 1:1 bonus on 30.10.06 as record date.
further, price fall for all shares is not restricted to 10% in a day. they have upper/lower circuit which may be 5, 10, 20%, decided be exchange. shares traded in derivatives have no circuit so theoritically they can fall by any amount in a day.

The prices are taxing and any increase in price effects the country. But this price is also due to the arab countries raising prices of crude oil. The observance of 14 as suggested is not going to solve much problem. Instead we should try to minimise the use of petrol and diesel by sharing the vehicles and also by using the public transport as much as we can.We should spread awareness of this prized commodity. Boycotting of petrol like this will effect our work and nation will be put to a great loss.

Yes the call to stop purchase of petrol for oneday was launched in a email campaign last year also and many of us had to fill up tanks the previous day! But it turned out that sales was as usual on that day too! We have very limited options sir. Our residences are far away form office, college etc and we could not afford to wait for crowded buses or trains always. Most of us are slaves of comforts and petrol can not be stopped even for once and Companies know it very well. BUt if only our legislators and MPs are sincere they can fight for the people and have the loads of taxes reduced significantly! Govt can easily save a lot of revenue by cutting its wasteful expenses sincerely (not like cosmetic reduction by travelling in Economy Class in flights and going for three star instead of five star hotels!)
