Don't major or minor in something because you think that it is a good match. Major and minor in things that you are passionate about. If you love history and politics, major in both. If you love math and politics, pick economics. Decide what your strengths and weaknesses are and match them to majors. Think about careers you may be able to have through these majors, but don't make the idea of supporting yourself the only factor in your decision.
