I have had friends in the music business and for the majority of the time it's people who know people - if you know what I mean ..... However 'nothing ventured/nothing gained' so how about contacting some bands or check out Google - something like 'Roadies - Bands' ... see what comes up .....
I should think the more willing you are to do just about anything, the more chance there is of getting in on a gig ... but I doubt if you'd be paid much .... maybe also check out the holiday camps - a lot of bands do these venues believe it or not! ......

Go to the next ROLLING STONES concert and ask the roadies. It takes about 500 crew to put together their stage. The Rolling Stones Stage is THE LARGEST PORTABLE STAGE IN HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They will be done touring in another month or so. So hurry up!

i don't know, sorry. my best guess would be to ring up a careers adviser or (depending on your age) try and get some knowledge of technical skills needed.

very nice job to pursue - sounds like a very cool but demanding job.

sorry i'm not much help but good luck to you.

No, but I've often wondered. Maybe you have to find a way to hang out back stage? Or else know someone who can help.
