Not long ago, I decided that I should start researching tax deferred accounts for educational purposes for my daughter. I'd like for it to be flexible enough that some funds could be used for elementary and secondary schools, if need be, in addition to, of course, college. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We have recently moved, and before doing so we contacted a local real estate agent for help in finding a home. Once arriving, we gave the agent information about what we are looking for, but he has not been sending us any listings or taking us to view any houses. He also asked us to get prequalified through his lender (which we did) and send him a certified 1000 check to use as earnest money if we find a house we want to make an offer on (we have not sent the check!). The thing is, we have never even met this guy, much less viewed a house with him. Now, I am thinking we made a bad choice by signing the buyer's agreement. Is there anyway we can get out of it and find a better agent? Thanks!

Someone I know if driving for a company. He is paid a check every week with no fed, state, social security, or medicare taken out. He needs to send these in on his own. My mortgage payment will be officially 30 days late on the 30th of this month. My new loan to refinance this loan funds on the 2nd of next month. The payment is about $4600. Should I pay it and Not have a mark on my credit or lose the $4600 (interest) and keep my Excellent Credit standing. By the way my credit is mid score 750.

I mean besides paying it off... are there any companies out there that will help you reduce your debt.. besides the obvious credit counseling services that are advertised on TV and such. Ive heard that there are grants and stuff that you can get from the government but I dont know how credible that info is. Does anyone have any personal experience on getting their credit rating higher?

I have a traditional 401k through my job. I started taking out pretax money including my after tax money in my 401k. Is taking out pretax dollars from your 401K the same as a ROTH IRA? I live in Philadelphia, if that helps

We got a new guy at work. He resides in the cubicle right next to me. Instead of going over and introducing myself, I approached his cubicle with a large amount of methane/sulfates pressurizing my colon. I then bent my torso at about 45 degrees relative to my vertical lower body, with my butt near his chair. I clenched my teeth whilst releasing my sphincter, spraying his area with this large amount of methane molecules, my anal vibrations producing a very low rumble which ended with a characteristic high-pitched squeal. Then I went HA-HA as in the simpsons and sat back down in my cubicle, without saying a word. I guess the new guy reported this to my boss and I am being escorted out. What the hell? Do I have a lawsuit for insubordination?

I recently submmited my resume to a job that I seem highly qualified for, and they are asking for a lot of responsabilities that aren't normal for the position I applied for. They sent me back a simple response "How much?" Shouldn't they be the ones telling me their offer so that we can negotiate... What should I say?
