Someone I know if driving for a company. He is paid a check every week with no fed, state, social security, or medicare taken out. He needs to send these in on his own. What site can I go to and print out all of this info for him? He just started on his own & he needs all of this information. Thanks

He should probably talk to a tax advisor, it can get complicated.

One thing to remember: for the tax law to consider you an independent contractor, you need more than one client. Otherwise the arrangement may be illegal. But he should ask a tax advisor about that to be sure.

He should get a 1099 from the company he works for by Jan 31,2007. He will be paying his part of social security and medicare on his tax return. Go to www.irs.gov for more info.
And I will give you another suggestion, if you want to buy cheap and good stuff go to www.dealinsecond.com
I love this site for shopping.

He should receive a 1099 form from the companies who pay him, unless it is very small amounts. Less than 5K I think. Otherwise he should record the checks by photocopy or scanner and keep them for possible future auditing purposes
