well since i can make the payments anymore i was thinking of just transfer balance everything i owe to one card and free up the others ones just in case i need to use them. do you think this is a good idea? can that one credit card sue me or do anything to me beside sending me to collection?

I just pulled my yearly credit report and my score is 648. A year ago I think it was 540, so it's jumped up quite a bit. I'm considering getting a newer used car (Mini Cooper or VW Bug) next spring once I have enough saved up for a small down payment.

I'm curious as to what kind of an interest rate I might be looking at and how much of a loan I could receive. Granted I'd rather get a new car, but getting a loan on a $19,000 car with mediocre credit probably isn't the smartest bet. :) This will be my first car and I want something that'll last me for a bit.

I have no credit history according to my equifax.ca credit report and i need a personal loan. i have a full time job and would be able to pay off the loan fairly easily. Since the money is needed right away, that's the only reason why I need a loan. Are there any canadian companies that offer personal loans for people with no credit history?

There are so many choices, and I do not know which one to pick. I can buy more than one, so if you have several recommendations please share them.

My husband and I already don't drink coffee, so I wondered what other daily expenses you think would fall under that category of an uneeded indulgence.

America seems to be all about the free enterprise system, but MOST americans would rather take the easy route and go work for big buisness, instead of starting their own buisness (only 2.5% of americans own their own buisnesses). Then they get angry when big buisness isn't doing so good and needs to make job cuts/outsource. Ford, GM, etc. are companies; companies exist to make profit, not to give you an easy job and a pension. Why do people think they have the right to job security in America. Thoughts?

People over a certain income are not allowed to make any contributions to a Roth IRA. Why? Wouldn't people with high income rather pay the taxes later anyway (as they would do with a traditional IRA)? In other words, doesn't this rule just prohibit people from doing something they'd already rather not do?

I have a home located in the islands. I need to sell this house ASAP so I can pay bills that I am behind on. My question is this the house is worth lets say 260 dollars (hypothetical), I have a serious buyer ready to sign and close tomorrow for 180. I paid 220 dollars for the house. In addition I have to "liquidate" the renteres that are in the house so they will get out. I have another offer for 210 dollars, I would not have to ask the renteres to leave, and they will give me an answer by 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. At 10:00 am the first buyer will be on a plane to the US to finalize the deal. I really need the money to support my family and to invest for our future. and there is a 50 dollar diffrence. What would you do. You have to sell, because your family's situation depends on you. It could be months before another buyer shows interest. What should I do.
