We are a Mfg Rep. We sometimes are asked by customers to send in a purchase order. We do our best to use theirs but some customers want us to do it for them. Are we liable at that point if a mistake is made. Should we insist on having them send us a P.O.? Or can we send in a generic P.O. that is on the software?

My situation, I believe, is a common one. I'm an undergraduate college student who is on the path to medicine, and it will take quite a while to earn a decent pay. I was wondering, if there are some non-technical skills I could pick up in about 6 months to a year, which are in moderate demand, so I can at least have a laudable salary during the summer and part-time during the school year instead of your average store jobs that don't pay that well.

Some in demand skills I've seen are fast typers, people with alot of knowledge in MS Word and MS Excel. Something in that line. I just need ideas for marketable skills I can improve on and/or master during my free time.

You know how we use debit card and money is directly coming out of Checking account? Also we write personal checks, and the money is coming directly out of checking account.

I was wondering if I can do the same for the Money Market account. I was wondering if I can use another debit card and make the money come directly out of my money market account. I was also wondering if I can write different personal checks and make the money come directly out of Money Market Account.

Why would I want to do this? because Money Market gives us more interest rate, so I want to just have Money Market account and take care of all the above businesses. I don't want to have a checking account if I can do all those things (debit card, personal checks) with Money Market Account.
Thank you so much.

I'm looking to work some part time jobs that deal with my major (Computer Engineering). I haven't graduated yet, but I will be graduating in December. Does anyone know of any recruiting companies that deal with contract work for businesses? How do you get started with contract work?

I work for a non-profit company. I am highly skilled with computers and perform most of the tasks related to inventory managment. I am the person they fall back on to take on special projects because I have a reputation for detail and accurately when fixing problems. I am responsible to submit accurate reports to the federal government and am responsibile for uncountable other taskes due to the place being severly under staffed. I am working on my third year with this company and have received 3% raises 2 years in a row. Nepatism is at its finest here. There are family members who have low responsibilities, but are paid 30% more on the hour. I like the work I do and the mission I strive for, but is there something seriously wrong with this situation?

Is it really better to buy a home? My husband and I were playing with some figures and were quite surprised to see we are better of renting after for a 5 year period. We don't intend on owning the home after 5 years.
We live in the state of GA where real estate appreciation has been relatively slow but steady compared to other regions( about 6-7% annually).
We will be saving about $1250 mthly if we rented a fairly new 4bdr, 2.5 bath home , which equals $75,000 over a 5 yr period and that is more if we factor a 5-10% return depending on how we choose to invest the money ( about $87,000- $100,000).
If we buy a $300K home, our payments will be about $2750 including PITI. If it appreciates at 6 % yearly, after 5 years we'll have a home valued at $401,500. Assuming we sell for that high, our net profit after agent commission of 6% and 3% closing costs will be about $65,000.
It seems like a slam dunk to just upgrade and rent a nicer home. Are we missing something in this figures?

.....or, Which are the questions that a potential future employer should/could/required to ask when calling the employees present job to inquire about the caliber of the employee? I know age, and marital status and children are a few, but I think there are some basics that he should ask, what are they?
