If your the boss and she's been warned then write her up. If your a co-worker then don't participate in her gossip fest. It's no fun to gossip if no one is joining in or adding more information.

Ask her if her life is so boring that she has to talk about other people? And also keep in mind, if she talks about other people, then she's surely talking about you.Stay away from her, and defiantly don't tell her anything you don't want the whole place to know about. And warn everyone else about her,if everyone knows what she's doing, then they'll stay away from her too.Pretty soon she won't have anyone to listen to her poison. This type of person usually doesn't have any friends, and in some sick way they think getting people to participate in gossip, she's made a friend.Keep your distance.

If the gossip incrimanates you then be straight forward and let them know that you will be turning them in to the supervisor. Normally that will stop them so all you have to do is use that threat. If it continues then without informing the person again then go let the supervisory know he/she will decide on the punishment for that individual. That is the correct way to do it in accordance to most business policies.

People dont continue to talk if they dont have an audience. Ignore her. Dont comment except to say that you refuse to have this conversation unless the third party is present. Good luck!

refuse to listen - put a tape recorder on your desk and turn it on every time she shows up - have everyone else refuse to listen.
A gossip needs a second party.

You shouldn't approach her about it. She will just get defensive. Better to Just tell her coworkers about it so they will understand that she does that and take what she says accordingly.
