I have had my tongue ring for a few years now. But lately I guess it is because of stress but I must squeeze the ring or something while I sleep because I wake up and underneath my tongue is sore and a little swollen. I just wanted to know if I could take it out at night and put it back in ... in the morning without it closing up. Thanks for the help and advice in advance.

I got a new tattoo on Monday. It is on the inside of my right ankle (sorry, spelling(?) but you know what I mean) about as low as you can go. It is a lilly. Part of it is over my bone and part of it travels onto my foot / heel area.

My question / problem is this... I am in a huge amount of pain. I know what a tattoo should feel like due to the fact that I have others. I can hardly walk and it hurts half way up my leg and on the under side of my heel. Two of the petals are very raised and swollen but not a normal swollen at least not the "normal" that I have experienced before. And in those two areas it has pushed out almost all of the pink that was put in there. The area is also "weeping" a little as wounds will do but again, I have never had this happen before.

I had it done down in L.A. and I live in Washington state. I am consulting an artist when I get off of work 2day but I was wondering if anyone had some insight or suggestions to my situation.

I want to get a tattoo of both my son and daughters names, I was thinking on my ankle and I really like the ones that start at the ankle and go onto the top of your foot (but they are usualy flowers/vines or something) and I wanted to get something with my kids names that represents them but I'm not sure what. My daughters middle name is Lily so I was thinking that but what about my son? Really, I would perfer to do something similar for them both but have no idea what. Or if isn't even possiable to get it to wrap my foot. Any ideas?.

Ever since I was a little girl, I have had a passion for tattoos.

I LOVE Tattoos.

I admire a person a lot more if they have tattoos.

I guess some would say i'm obsessed.

It is my 17th birthday in March. And I bet you can all guess what I want?

Yes, that's right, a tattoo.

When it comes the time when my parents want to know what I want for my birthday, what the hell do I say?

My mum and dad are great parents, they do give me a lot of freedom, but do not understand the concept of individuality or my love of tattoos.

All I want for my birthday is for them to give their consent for me to get a tattoo. They don't have to pay for it, I will do that, but I just want the consent. I am more then willing to negotiate with them about the tattoo (position, noticibility etc) but I will NOT take a no for an answer.

There is no way I would get one without their consent, though.

So how do I ask? And how do I achieve what i'm hoping for?

me and my boyfriend want matching tattoos. we have came up with one idea so far and its too tattoo my lips on him somewhere and put his lips above my bikini line so like when i wear a bathing suit you can see it. the only problem is where can he get his? he has tattoos on the whole tops of both arms, and then he has grenades on his upper chest! he cant have it on his neck or like lower arms or anything bc of his job so anybody with any ideas of where he can get his..thank you all so much...xoxo i was thininkn he should get his where im gettin mine, he says thats gay do yall think its gay bc i dont!?

I want to get a tattoo, but want to see other tattoo's in the same spot I want mine done, so I can see what placements and tattoo's look best in that area, I want my tattoo on my side just under my breast, and go down to my hip... is this a rib tattoo?? anyone got any ideas?

I am planning on getting my 1st tattoo done soon and would like to know if anyone knows any REALLY good tattoo artists in either Manitowoc, Appleton, or Sheboygan Wisconsin, who can do GREAT work on detailed flower tattoos. And has reasonable prices, good attitudes, and clean shops.

I just recently quit drinking alcohol, which is a big deal because it was really making my family and friends worry, and also I was being hypocritical. I was telling young people not to drink and drive and I couldn't live up to that myself. So I want to get a tattoo about the Lord helping me defeat my personal demons.
