I have a tattoo on the top of my back in the center of a sort of coat of arms about the size of a fist. The pain only lasted for the rest of the day after I got the tattoo, after that it was fine. The middle of the back hurts more then say the shoulder blades because of the bones in the spine, but it did hurt. I was happy it hurt because it made me feel like I had accomplished something after it was over and I was proud to have it, plus the pain wasn't unbearable, pretty painful but not unbearable. I live in NY and got it done by an experienced proffesional and I paid $160. My tattoo was intricit and had alot of color so wings would probably cost less.

The lower back hurts like heck (yes my whole back is done) the upper back not as much, but it depends on the touch of the artist.
The biggest pain is not seeing where the needle is going to hit next.
As for price, that is why I use the same artist again and again. Some will do it by the piece others by the hour, guess between 150-300 but don't be cheap, it is there for life.

Price range depends on the ammount of detail involved in the tattoo itself. It could go from 100 up to 300 plus ...
Higher I would say since it is a "back piece"
It will hurt the back is a very sensitive spot for tattoos. One that is NOT recomended for 1st time tattoos unless you have an amazig ability to cope with pain.
Hope that helps

I have a tattoo on my upper back, to me it didn't hurt that bad at all. It was just uncomfortable having to sit there for so long. Now about the price...it depends. The larger and more colorful the tattoo the more it's going to cost.

it doesn't hurt as bad as being tattooed on the spine. i don't know what you consider to be medium sized wings but each artist is different. some charge by the hour and some charge by the piece. also it depends on the detail that will go into the tattoo. the best thing would be to go consult with an artist.

For me it did not hurt that much. It all depends on your pain tolerance. And also the price depends on the tattoo artist. But I would expect it to be like $160. But that's from my personal expeirence

It hurts like hell! I had to sleep on my stomach for a week for the tattoo on my back. The price depends on what you are getting and the detail involved. The tattoo on my back cost me $150.
