you should wait until you are 18 and then go to a reputable artist, i have 10 tats, including celtic angel wings on my back. just the outline took 9 hours, and it was one of the only ones that was painful to get. filling in the outlines took a few months. Hope you have some $$$!

Chances are you're not going to want that when you turn 18. When I was 15 I wanted fairies and flowers. Today I laugh at that idea (no offense to people that have them, I just like something more).
Plus your dad has the right to say no to anything. He's your father and that's his given right.
Wait it out until you're 18.
I hated that law more than anything when I was younger and I thought it was so unfair too, but I'm glad I had to wait that long now. Or else I'd have some silly tattoo I'd be removing or having to coverup.
If you want that tattoo so bad, what's the problem in waiting a couple more years to get it?
Nothings going to change in those few years right?

firstly, i think ur underaged to get a tattoo, secondly i highly doubt your dad will let you get one esp when ur so young. I suggest you wait till you're 18 n really think about what you want to get. Angel wings are so common. Try to get something more personal. Its best to really think through what you want n not cos its a trend as u will have that tattoo for the rest of ur life. N also how ppl in the corporate working world percieve a young man with a tattoo/tattoos.

Save your money and wait til you're 18. The tattoo you're talking about is not cheap. At 15, if you do have a job, you probably don't make enough to get it, why would your dad want to pay for something he doesn't approve of? Wait. You may want something completely different in 3 years or if you still want it you may want to put it off and spend the money on something else or you may get your tat.
Also, many of the places that will tattoo someone underaged are less than reputable and for a tat like that you want to spend the money so you can have something beautiful.

Well first off you have to make sure that at 15 you're getting a tattoo that you're gonna love forever, becasue thatz how long they last. Consider how you might feel in 10 years and what you wanna do as a career. All that being said, I got my first tatoo at 17 and I'm still in love with it. It has my initials and other symbols significant to me, so I figured my name wont change and those symbols will always be important to me so why not. I got it without my parents knowing and didnt show them until I was 18 almost 19. It was suprisingly easy to cover, just had to remember to always wear a shirt around them and I got my brother to put the ointment on that you have to apply. Good Luck

You couldnt convince anyone why because your 15 and in the usa you have to be 18 anything under that has to be approved by the state you live in and under 18 its for gang identification tattoo cover up not to get your first done look save your money and on your 18th birthday go get what ever you want just get something that has meaning and that you can see still liking down the road and that is classy so relax time will come and you can get it done and besides defying parents is one of the worst things you can do because you live in their house under their rules and getting ink when told no under 18 they can make your life hell until you turn of age like make you get a job and pay for stuff like rent to live in their house or buy your own food so good luck on patience

Im 17 and I thought of a really good tattoo, not too big. and explained to my parents that i was responsible enough to get one. They werent up for the idea right away, but like a week later my mom took me out and helped me pick how i wanted it drawn. So, its just the fact how you present the idea, and the reason why you want it. Remember your gonna have to deal with it like 69 years down the road!!!!!

Personally if my daughter was 15 i would tell her to wait a year, and i would let her, it's a way of expressing yourself and i dont think that anyone should take that away from you....

Nope. Sorry dude, but you're 15 and what your Dad decides for you is pretty much the way it will be.

And, there's no tattoo artist in the known world who would even remotely consider doing any art on you because they could be sued by your parents and their license would be revoked.

Look, you only have to wait 3 more years. Then you can get whatever you want tattooed on yourself.

I'd stick with the advice from dad and others. Wait awhile. If you are 18 and you still want that tattooed, on your back, FOREVER, then go get one. That is three good years to make sure you can live with it for the rest of your life. Make sure it means a lot to you.

either he will or won't let you and if he says no there will probably be no convincing. my parents said no when i was younger. they said no to a lot of things, piercings, raves, tattoos... all that fun stuff that i wanted to do at 16-17. it is best to just wait. i wouldn't advise sneaking around behind his back and getting one because anybody who will tattoo a minor without worry of repercussions they likely don't have up to date health practices and may not be safe.
