Skin & Body - November 2007

Ok, so heres the full story. I have very dry, flaky skin. It flakes so badly that whenever I change my shirts, they always have like tons and tons of dead skin cells, or flakes. I mean, like this is a big problem for me. I have gone to dermatologists, but they have not been of much help. If anyone is also going through this problem, or has gone through it before, and has found a solution, please let me know what you did. Please, I really need some help. Thank you.

Please help me.....ok well i have been getting tons of pimples on my arms and butt. And i cant seem to get rid of them the doctor said to just make sure you wash really good, and i do but it still there and wont go away. HELP!?

i just remove a whitehead on my nose.. and it leave a deep hole.. that pore got big.. what will i do to get it back to the normal? my aunt told me not to wash my face coz it may cause swelling.. was that true?? what will i do please help

I don't want Botox or do anything surgical, or the likes of either. But I would like to know if microdermabrasion or chemical peel is more effective for maintaining youthful appearance and skin rejuvination, so I can weigh options when I finally can afford to do either.

I have a heart tatt (1 inch by 1 inch) that needs to be touched up. I want to add angel wings to it to symbolize my freedom from an abusive marriage.
Do you have any ideas for delicate angel wings or maybe a better idea?

I am milado, half black and half white, I scar very easily and my scar are always dark. I was thinking that if i tanned while putting sunblock on my scars I would be able to fade my scars into the tan...good idea..bad idea??!! can't buy mederma because they don't sell it in Canada, so if you think my idea sucks, or you can inprove it in any way,

I have met 2 people recently with unusual tattoos, and I think they might have special meanings that someone might know. One tattoo I saw is an outline of heart inside the upper ear...in what a doctor would call the pinna....outline of a green heart.

The other one is a tattoo of a outline of a star, right behind the ear.

Any ideas of any special significance these might have?

That may sound dumb. Deal with it.

I been using proactive solution for about over a month, prior to using it, i had mild acne on my forehead and no where else. then i used proactive and it made my right cheek full of blemishes and my forehead severe. i only use it once a day, before bed and i use it everyday. what should i do? do you think using it twice will make it better?

The rash is red and is above my elbow. It does NOT itch. I've had it for a couple of years and it just keeps getting worse. There are little red dots that look like pimples and when I try to squeeze them, they just get raised up and scar. It is really gross and I'm tired of people always asking what it is and my response being "I don't know". Should I go to a doctor and have this checked out or is there some kind of over-the-counter product that will take care of this?

Many people say dermablend is the best thing for covering a tattoo and talk about how miraculous it is. Well, it didn't cover mine. I tried both the fair & light shades- neither went exactly right with my skin, especially since I had to put it on thick to cover the tattoo. So, basically the tattoo got replaced by an obviously painted spot. Then, that spot dried and got lighter and the tattoo showed through as soon as the "paint" dried. Honestly, it never covered the tattoo completely anyway, but I might could have managed it, yet it would have left a patch that looked like it was caked with paint or something. If you are pale skinned and have a black tattoo- which most tattoos are outlined in black- then it's not going to cover it in my opinion. I have seen others say the same thing, but a lot of people praise it like it's the best thing ever. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew anything that actually worked or if they thought they knew why this didn't work for me.

I've read lots of answers on here asking whats good for slight acne marks but they didn't really help... I have tiny little holes on my face from acne. Their awful. Their pretty deep so makeup doesn't cover them. I also have huge pores. What would be the best to get rid of them?

DARK EYE CIRCLES!!!! ogggg i need your help
