I have five piercings and two tattoos, most of my friends have some or both and I could care less if someone doesn't like mine. Being smart enough to cover them up when needed and able to take criticism (I get plenty of that for the field I'm going into and having them) without freaking out. Calling someone trashy, or a freak or not giving them a chance is foolish, closed minded and really quite arrogant. Having a tattoo or piercings wont change who you are inside. Most of the time, those of us that have them are more comfortable with being looked at and judged while not automatically judging back. I respect the choices of others to not have them and in return expect the same respect for my own body and life. Many people will ask me about the stories behind my tattoos or how long I've had my piercings once they realize I'm not judging them that way.

Usually plenty of very devout persons are in opposition to tattoos & piercings given that it is changing your frame from the best way God in the beginning created it. The bible does now not instantly say that you just cannot have piercings or tattoos, so I suppose it is extra a question of the way persons understand it. Another purpose your dad and mom are typically in opposition to it's given that tattoos and piercings have a foul rep in society. It's noticeable as a rebellious factor to do. A lot of persons partner it with criminals and "punks." This is of path only a stereotype and now not often actual, however adults did not develop up with it up to our iteration has so they do not rather realise it. I do not see the damage in it. Tattoos & piercings don't seem to be that drastic and can also be eliminated. I suppose different adjustments (like implants and plastic surgical procedure) are worse. I see tattoos & piercings extra as artwork that you'll be able to convey round to your frame the entire time.

What??? Spell checker...seriously, it works.
I have 19 tattoos, most all of which are visible at any given time, and 8 piercings (3 in each ear, and nipples) and 4 scarification pieces. I dont worry about what someone else thinks or says about my modifications. Its my body, and my mods are only skin deep...if someone can't accept me for who I am, regardless as to what is on my skin, then its someone that I don't want to be associated with anyways for thinking that a person is no more than what is visible.

I have 3 tattoos and 8 piercings. My husband loves all of them. His family and my family don't mind them at all.

i have a tattoo on my shoulder and my bf is fine with it. i'm not into facial peircing so i'm not sure if i would date someone with them, depends on what their personality is like. if i really cared for them i would want my parents to meet them and they would demand to meet someone i'm seeing anyways specially if its a serious relationship.
