Hair - January 2007

I long ago lost my true hair color but when the weather is nice and the sun is shining on me, I'm usually highlighted and blonde (by nature and salon).
In the winter I like to tone it down and go for a light brown.

Does anybody else do this or am I trying too hard?

Im 16, 5'5, 125lbs and I wear a 34DD. Im thinking about cutting my hair like one of the pictures below but Im afraid short hair would make me look fat with my boobs being so big. I just dont want to look like Roseanne when she had that super short bob. She looked quiteee large.

I have naturally brown hair but had been getting blonde highlights put in. My roots were coming in again and I decided to have a change and dye it a brown colour at home. I bought a permanent dye which was called "dark golden brown" but my hair's gone a kind of chesnut brown with a reddish tint. It's not really the colour I wanted and has probably gone like that because of the blonde highlights. Does anyone have any suggestions how I could change it? I wanted to go a medium brown colour.

My hair is "mousy" and I want it to be a chestnut brown color, or even just make my hair a darker color than it is now would be great, because my hair looks grey in places!!

does anyone know what they are talking about? Yes people should go to the salon to get it done. For those who do not have that kind of money do kits like Clairol Maxi Blonde work as good. There's a possible chance of going orange but this kit recomends a #02 colour after prelightening. Please give actual advise on how to properly do this at home. How soon after prelightener can you apply the colour? We've been getting so many stories and unrelated comments it is a bit frustrating. Answer only if you actually know what you know!

ok im in 7th grade and go to a tiny priave school. we do this funraiser every year and its goes to St. Baldrick's. its an organization that raises money to help make wigs for kids that have cancer. i cut my hair last year (it was about down to my elbow) and now its about an inch longer than my sholder. in order to cut your hair its has to be 6 inches. so should i do it and get it really short? or should i just keep growing it and wait till next year? i dont really care, but if i cut it short it would be considered "copying my sister". what should i do?
