first reason could be that you soap the back of your neck after you condition your hair. this just contradicts the purpose of conditioner as the soap gets on your hair at the nape of your neck causing it to stick together and tangle instead of smoothening it when its dry.

second reason could be that you have smaller curlier hairs at the nape of the neck that refuse to follw your hairstyle because they differ in texture and length therefore causing them to tangle when you move around.

third reason is that you may have a sweaty neck that causes the hair to stick to your nape and eventually tangle as the sweat dries.

fourth reason is that you have shoulder length hair and a short neck and the hair gets caught in the neck.

if you have 1 then soap before conditioning
if you have 2 then you may roller brush it or put a bit of hair spray or gel to keep them together.
if you have 3 and four trim your hair or tie it just to keep it away from the neck.

heat makes hair go crazy for some people

the back of your neck gets really sweaty and hot and thats the cause of knots

well if your hair is long it will just do that. mine was like that too. but i cut 10 inches off...that was the cure...but if you dont want to cut it. then i suggest that you buy a pocket sized brush and then just keep brushing it. or heavily concentrate the use of conditioner under there...

good luck!

omg my does that too!!! its because i have crazy long hair...but i love long hair on everyone including me, so its all good.

comb our your hair or, underneath, braid it. nobody can tell at all and it keeps their nice and tidy.

other than that make sure to wash your hair at least 4 times a week and use a mild but effective coniditoner.

hope i helped and good luck!

Why sweat it, when you can dread it? I'm majorly jealous of you <3 Get some dreads or cornrows bro.
