If you don't trim your hair, the ends become damaged and split causing it to look ratty and ugly.

If you trim your hair often, at least 1/2 inch every 3 or 4 months it will keep it looking healthy and neat.

If you haven't had it cut in a while you might have to take alot off, just go to your salon and say you want to trim as little as possible but you want the dead-ends taken care of, they will show you how much needs to go. After that, just keep up on it and take good care of it and it should look great

if you mean how often you should have it trimmed then about every 6 weeks is good. It really depends on what you do to your hair and how you treat it. If you curl it or straighten it or put it in a pony tail all the time then every 4-6 weeks is good. Just have a 1/2 inch trimmed off

You should have your hair trimmed at least every three months for long hair. Short to medium hair usually gets trimmed every six to eight weeks. Trimming will keep your hair looking healthy and get rid of those awful split ends.

The best thing to do is get a little trim to get rid of the split ends, which make your hair look more damaged. And it depends how long your hair is, we talkin' but mid-back or down to your butt? If it's really long, you should get it cut to at least your mid-back. Hope this helps!

I used to have very long hair, past my waist line. I did not trim it for over 25 years, due to religious reasons. When I did (well, cut it pretty short the first time), to my shoulders, it was so much healthier, and has stayed much healthier since then. I have less hair loss now also.

I believe that the way you look is completely up to you. If you like your long hair, keep it long. However if you're living with your parents and they force you to have it cut I'm very sorry but because you're living with them it's best to respect their wishes. But if you DO have a choice, make your hair look how you want it to look. It's YOUR hair, not anyone else's.

Long hair is something to be proud of but there are also drawbacks. It's hard to keep clean which means shampoo and a pain to blow dry. Long hair can get matted easier than shorter hair. But, if you have the Crystale Gayle do; you have to position it so you can sit and eat without getting food in your hair.

If you really love your hair the way it is you should leave it. I have long hair and people tell me to cut it but I like the way my hair is. It's unique just like everyone in the world is unique. Keep it if you feel it's best for you.
