should i cut my hair?

ok im in 7th grade and go to a tiny priave school. we do this funraiser every year and its goes to St. Baldrick's. its an organization that raises money to help make wigs for kids that have cancer. i cut my hair last year (it was about down to my elbow) and now its about an inch longer than my sholder. in order to cut your hair its has to be 6 inches. so should i do it and get it really short? or should i just keep growing it and wait till next year? i dont really care, but if i cut it short it would be considered "copying my sister". what should i do?

I donated hair to Locks of Love. Their website says 10 inches minimum. Maybe get it cut during the summer. Then you'll have a good amount to give, and you'll feel cooler. I think it's great that you're donating your hair!!
Don't worry about "copying your sister". The person who gets your hair will only feel gratitude for what you're doing. I wish more kids your age would do that kind of "copying". So many kids copy bad behavior because of peer pressure. You're doing something great--you rock!!!

I say cut it. It's for a good cause, and that's what's most important.

If you're nervous about people thinking you're copying, then I suggest trying a different KIND of short cut--not all of them are the same! You have options with bangs, layers, and angles, and a layered short cut would look so cute! Even if you can't get it done by the organization that cuts the hair, you can have them cut it straight across and then have a professional in a salon cut it in a fun, stylish way. Go for it--I wish I had the guts to cut my hair shorter!

Cut it! It's the right thing to do! :) But if you don't want it too short, of course don't cut off too much. I'm in the 7th grade and I go to a private school, but I don't have funraisers like that because there's this policy at my school that it can't be too short. Psh. Haha

Oh hey! I'm getting my haircut tomorrow, maybe I should donate some of my hair. My hair's pretty long right now... Maybe I should! =)

okay, imagine yourself with short hair and see if you like that look and then decide. if u think it will look good than just cut it. (anyways it will grow back) and a lot of the times shorter hair looks better than long hair. you can look different for a change and if the change does not turn out to be good they will grow back. it's not really copying ur sister alot of people have short hair and if you wanna try something new then go ahead and cut ur hair.

YOUR NOT Doing it for that reason.

Its for the good cause to help others dont hold yourself back based on what someone else did its entirely your descion.

Don't worry about what your sister looks like. It doesn't matter. If you're comfortable with having your hair that short then do it and have fun with your new haircut!
