Hair - January 2007

I was recommended to a salon, for a cut and color, where I've only had an updo done before. My hair was colored in October '06 with a semi-permanent medium brown (at another salon). When I went to the recommended salon today, I asked to have my hair color lightened (I know color cannot be lifted w/ color). Anyways, she dyes my roots a medium-dark blonde, but doesn't pull it all the way through. I thought she was just lifting out all of my color, to deposit a lighter one. Well, I wait until she's done blow drying my hair, thinking that maybe it won't look so bad. Well, I could blatantly see the blonde ring around the top of my head, and told her I didn't like the way it looked. Her exact words were that next time she'd suggest highlights or I have to wait for the semi-permanent to wash out. Well, I'm sure the semi-perm. isn't going to wash out anymore that it has after two months. I left, deciding I'd call if I decided I still hated it, and I don't like it. What should I do?

Hey. I was have recently been wanting to dye my hair a darker color. Right now it is a some what light blonde. I do not know if that will matter at all when my hair is dyed but im wanting to make sure. But what im really wanting to get an opinion on is if ppl think i should do it. i have blackish-brown hair and i want to dye it to a very light blonde like almost white...i have a hair dye package and on the box it shows two package things of lightening activator powder.. but in the instructions it shows only to use one...i dont know what my hair will look like because it doesnt show the bar on the side of the box...

any idea on why there are two packs and only one in the instructions...???

and if you have any comments please help?!

and it is worrying me, i have tryed changing her shampoo but it hasnt worked she has thin strands of hair but is thick in appearance, with alot of knots no matter what i have tryed nothing is working

Hey there! I am very indecisive and could really use some advice on what hair color/style to get. I'm fourteen, have very pale skin and green eyes. Last Christmas, I dyed my hair black. It's mostly grown out by now, but it's still pretty dark. It doesn't look bad, but it's a little too dark for me, so I want to go lighter. If you have any ideas, let me know. Thanks :)

Hi! i'm a guy btw! i've got really frizzy hair which is like an afro if left alone! so i just wet my hair nd dry a bit and then put gel on.But gel goes hard although it's nce cause it turns into nice curls! i'm sick of the same hairstyle so i sometimes straighten it wif my ghd. for a change how can i tame the frizz so it's sorta wavy/curly nd looks natural. I had my hair dyed a semi-permanent medium brown at a salon, a little over two months ago, to cover the red that I had dyed my hair a few months before that. Well, my roots have lightened, but the rest of my hair is a mixture between the medium brown and red. I went to a salon today to have my hair color lightened, and she only did my roots a medium blonde color. I told her that I thought it looked strange, and that I wanted the color pulled through to the ends. She basically told me that the only way to lighten my hair color would be to add highlights, and other than that I have to wait for the semi-permanent to wash out (BUT ITS BEEN MORE THAN TWO MONTHS!). Well, I don't want highlights. I want one single color all over my head, a dark blonde to light brown. Do I need a double process to lighten my hair? And what exactly does a double process entail? Otherwise, what are some other ways to lighten my hair (at a salon)?

Hello everyone, girls I'm 21 years old lady, my hair is dry and I want to grow a healthy dark hair.
I've never colored my hair, its black and curly.
I need some names of oils that u use and give me some traditional Indian remedies to grow a healthy hair.
I've heard about Parachute oil, Dabur amla oil, Nima oil..etc and I don't know what is best for me. If u use another oil plz name them.
I don't care if they smill bad or if it is Sticky.
