I had my hair dyed a semi-permanent medium brown at a salon, a little over two months ago, to cover the red that I had dyed my hair a few months before that. Well, my roots have lightened, but the rest of my hair is a mixture between the medium brown and red. I went to a salon today to have my hair color lightened, and she only did my roots a medium blonde color. I told her that I thought it looked strange, and that I wanted the color pulled through to the ends. She basically told me that the only way to lighten my hair color would be to add highlights, and other than that I have to wait for the semi-permanent to wash out (BUT ITS BEEN MORE THAN TWO MONTHS!). Well, I don't want highlights. I want one single color all over my head, a dark blonde to light brown. Do I need a double process to lighten my hair? And what exactly does a double process entail? Otherwise, what are some other ways to lighten my hair (at a salon)?

you could basically look at your hair an see if the dye continues to be in. It probable is, if it is permannet. also, save in recommendations, that color does not strengthen color. for this reason, you could't in any respect get a lighter color of brown on darkish hair. for example, in case you took a black marker and then colored with eco-friendly intense of it, it is going to nonetheless be black. So once you've black hair, favor to dye it lighter, it is going to nonetheless be black. you've to apply bleach and dye over it.
